Lava with Gepco V5020 Solder-Free Cable
This kit uses the Gepco V5020 cable that is compatible with these plugs. The Lava Plug is first solder-free DIY plug on the market not to use a set screw to make the ground connection. Instead, a sleeve making 360 degree ground and outer jacket contact is used.
This right angle plug pictured above is the smallest DIY solder-free right angle plug on the market with a body width of .435″ allowing for spacing between pedals of less than 1″ or less than 1/2″ when staggered. Also pictured is an assembly view of the straight plugs. Note that even very short cables can be made with either plug.
This is a nice solder-free cable system that combines great tone with a reliable connection.
