Three different configurations:
All “plugs” and “jacks” shown are 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connectors.
Splitter + Ground Lift: Voodoo Lab part # PPAV, 4 inches long. This splitter adapter cable divides one Pedal Power output to two pedals. The splitter has two 2.1mm jacks which will accept any of your existing cables with a 2.1mm plug. Connect those 2 cables to your pedals and the adapter’s plug into a power supply output. The white stripe cable is ground lifted to eliminate ground loops. The 2 effects must be in the same audio chain and use the same voltage and polarity.
Double Voltage: Voodoo Lab part # PPAY, 4 inches long. For pedals with higher voltage requirements, you may use this voltage doubling adapter/extension to combine the voltages of two DC Pedal Power outputs to make 18 or 24 volts. Connect the adapter plugs to the power supply outputs and connect any existing cable (with a 2.1mm plug) to it’s inline jack and then connect to your effect.
Double Amperage: Voodoo Lab brand, part # PPAP, 4 inches long. Connect the 2 extension plugs to the power supply outputs and connect any existing cable (with a 2.1mm plug) to it’s inline jack and then connect to your effect. The 2 output voltages and DIP switch settings must be identical.
Pictures: The pictures here show the plug configurations for each cable. Their appearance may differ from the actual cable you receive however they will function all the same. The appearance and price also vary depending on the different options selected. This is due to whether a cable is mass produced or custom made and varies by the available component parts used and the complexity of the custom cable assembly.
Color Coding: Many cables have color coding to differentiate the various configurations however cables in each group may be color coded in slightly different ways.
Length: Choose the length that meets your needs. The approximate length is the wire measured between the plug handles. Overall length is about 2″ greater.
This diagram is for reference only but it gives you an idea of how these cables are measured.
